Burundi has implemented the IMF's Enhanced General Data Dissemination System (e-GDDS) and launched the National Summary Data Page to publish essential macroeconomic and financial data. This move demonstrates Burundi's commitment to data transparency and promotes evidence-based decision-making and economic governance. The National Summary Data Page serves as a one-stop-shop for disseminating the data recommended under the e-GDDS and facilitates access for data users, including policymakers, the financial sector, private investors, think tanks, and media. The page provides standardized data, which supports sustainable economic growth and development, and early detection of risks to prevent economic crises. The data is provided by Burundi's National Statistical Office, the Ministry of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, and the Bank of the Republic of Burundi. The IMF Executive Board recently reviewed the benefits of the e-GDDS, including better sovereign financing conditions for countries participating in the system. Burundi's implementation of the e-GDDS was supported by an IMF capacity development project financed by the Government of Japan.
