The Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) revealed new partnerships with key international technology companies operating in the country, including Microsoft, IBM, Cisco, VMware, and Amazon Web Services. The partnerships, which are part of the Digital Egypt Builders Initiative, aims at honing the technical skills of participants, introducing state-of-the-art digital technologies, and helping students get closer to the job market. The partnership with Microsoft focuses mainly on providing technology awareness courses and training in cybersecurity skills, as well as data science and artificial intelligence. It will also organise hackathons to help students solve real-world problems and challenges using technology.
