Russian telecoms watchdog Roskomnadzor has confirmed that it has blocked the website of Ekho Moskvy, an independent Russian broadcaster. Roskomnadzor told Interfax that the block was instituted 'for the purposeful and systematic circulation of information materials containing false information about the essence of the special military operation in Ukraine, its form, methods of conducting combat actions, quantitative human losses of the Russian Armed Forces, and instances of shelling and civilian casualties, as well as those calling for the organization of mass (public) events in Russian territory'.
