Uber files appeal to retain its London license

Following adecision by Transport for London not to renew Uber's licence in the UK capital, the company has filed a court appeal to overturn the authority's decision. It is expected that it will take months before a decision is being taken in court. But Uber announced that it hoped to use this time to continue 'having constructive discussions' with the regulator. Although Uber's licence expired on 30 September, its London drivers can continue to operate while the appeals process is ongoing.
