Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States have announced the launch of a trilateral security partnership called AUKUS. The partnership is dedicated to strengthening the partners' ability to support their security and defense interests, through initiatives such as (a) deepening information and technology sharing; (b) strengthening the integration of security and defense-related science, technology, industrial bases, and supply chains; and (c) deepening cooperation on several security and defense capabilities. Initial efforts in this direction will focus on cyber capabilities, artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, and undersea capabilities.
