The German trade union Verdi called on workers from 7 Amazon warehouses to start a strike for three days to coincide with the global prime day promotion. The union said that workers in warehouses frequently have to deal with the rush of customers and do not get compensated for the additionally intensified workload. This initiative is part of a long battle with Amazon over better salaries and working conditions
