Lyft has released a detailed safety report that was due about two years ago. The document reports more than 4 thousand instances of sexual assault on the services provided through its ride-hailing platform from 2017 to 2019. In response to this data, Lyft's representative said the company has invested in safety measures, including the implementation of rigorous driver background checks, in addition to have consulted sexual assault experts.
