The Ministry of Transport and Communications of Mozambique signed an agreement with Huawei to develop its information and communication technology (ICT) sector, aiming at accelerating the digital transformation in the country. Through this agreement, Huawei would support various strategic areas including infrastructure, training, and technology, among others. Prior to this agreement, Huawei maintained its 'Seeds for the Future' training program to 50 young people in several areas including 5G wireless telecommunications technology, the Long-Term Evolution (LTE) wireless broadband communication standard, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and Internet of Things.
