Lenovo has introduced several bold laptop concepts ahead of Mobile World Congress, including a solar-powered Yoga model and a ThinkBook Flip featuring an 18.1-inch outward-folding display.
These innovations highlight the company's ongoing push to explore unconventional designs, integrating sustainability, flexible screens, and AI-driven features.
The Yoga Solar PC Concept incorporates a solar panel into the laptop lid, capable of converting over 24% of energy, ensuring continued charging even in low-light conditions. Lenovo claims just 20 minutes of direct sunlight can generate an hour of 1080p video playback.
A separate Solar Power Kit for Yoga also offers a portable charging solution with a detachable solar panel and power bank.
The ThinkBook Flip introduces an 18.1-inch OLED screen with a 3:4 aspect ratio, folding outward to support multiple usage modes. Other concepts include the ThinkBook 3D Laptop with a directional backlight for switching between 2D and 3D visuals, complemented by an AI Ring for touch-free navigation.
Meanwhile, the Magic Bay modular system for the ThinkBook 16p Gen 6 offers detachable screens and AI-powered companions.
No release dates or prices have been announced for these concepts, but Lenovo's past experiments suggest some features could make their way into future products.
