Airbnb announced that it will not allow any bookings in the Washington DC metro area during the entire week of President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration. Airbnb made this decision after calls from local authorities urging Americans not to come to the inauguration and to attend it online. Airbnb will also cancel all existing reservations in the area. The announcement came two days after the platform stated it would block users involved in the US Capitol siege in early January.
