Facebook has tested its first Internet drone

Facebook has announced that it has successfully completed a test flight of a solar-powered drone. The drones are designed to deliver Internet access 'to every corner of the planet'. Yet, it will still take some time before the skies will be filled with Internet-disseminating drones. One representative of Facebook's Connectivity Lab said that 'There are still a lot of technical challenges that need to be addressed for us to achieve the whole mission.' Yet, he hoped that the system would be operational 'in the near future.'
