Facebook will restrict the visibility of users and groups that accrue violations and, in some circumstances, it will remove them in order to reduce the spread of misinformation and harmful content in the platform. This policy change means that users will be less likely to find groups that breached Facebook community guidelines in the past, in addition to seeing warnings when they try to join them. Furthermore, groups with a large number of members who have violated Facebook policies will be requested to have an administrator approval before posts can be published.
