Numerous Twitter accounts posed as US media organisations to falsely declare election victories for both Joe Biden and Donald Trump. Apparently, this was part of a co-ordinated disinformation campaign in the context of the presidential election. Twitter promptly suspended the accounts that had shared false information mimicking the actual organisation's logos, account names, and the language used by the candidates. However, the tweets had already been amplified by journalists and other verified accounts.
