Germany: Facebook, Google and Twitter join a task force against online xenophobia and racism

The German Federal Minister of Justice Heiko Maas announced that Facebook, Google and Twitter, among others, have joined a task force against online xenophobia and racism. According to Euractiv, the companies involved in this task force have agreed that illegal content would be removed within 24 hours. The implementation of this and other agreed upon measure would be monitored by an 'external provider'.
