[Shanghai, China, October 12, 2018] At HUAWEI CONNECT 2018, Huawei officially released its Smart 100G Enhanced MS-OTN solution. Based on its experience in constructing a bearer network for Guangzhou Metro Group, Huawei shared understanding about the services trends and requirements of subway upper-layer networks, dedicated communications systems, and police communications systems.

After more than 20 years of construction, Guangzhou today has 13 subway lines totaling 391.7 km in length, including an automated people mover (APM) line and the Guangzhou-Foshan intercity line, as well as the Haizhu Island Circular Tram totaling 7.7 km in length. In terms of both annual ridership and system length, Guangzhou Metro ranks fourth in the world. Consequently, Guangzhou Metro Group has entered an era of big network operations, with a rapid growth in passenger traffic. At present, the daily ridership exceeds 7.6 million, with a peak daily ridership of over 10.026 million, accounting for more than 44% of all public transportation journeys in the city. The intensity of Guangzhou
