Live #CiscoChat May 17th: Safer Communities and Countries in a Digital World -Are You Prepared?

Public safety is becoming an increasing concern, just about everywhere you go. It seems every time you turn on the news, there's someone or something else harming people, killing people, or putting them in danger. There arepublic safety organizations for cities, borders, college campuses, and more, whose job it is to keep you safe from these threats. Are they prepared to do that? Do they have a plan in place? That's the topic of our next#CiscoChat, onTuesday, May 17thfrom 10-11am PT

Harold Bell will be moderating the discussion from @CiscoGovt-Cisco's Twitter channel for government audiences, which focuses on how technology impacts government agencies. He'll be joined by Cisco's Global Government Industry Managers, Laura Re (@laurare143) and Daniele Schrakamp (@dani_schra), as well asResearch Director for IDC Government Insights, Alan Webber(@AlanWebber).

During the chat, they'll discuss the importance of understanding cultural, social, and technological trends on a global level, and how that can aid in supporting public safety, as well as emerging technologies that can both help reduce threats and mitigate the aftermath of those threats. The goal of this discussion is to help you prepare for safer communities and countries in a digital world.

To participate in the chat:

  • Make sure you're logged into your Twitter account.
