Singapore's Singtel has reported that hackers had breached a third-party standalone system used to share information internally and with external stakeholders. Accellion, the third-party vendor in question, stated that this incident was a part of a wider concerted attack against users of their file sharing system. Accellion has indicated that it patched all known vulnerabilities and added new monitoring and alerting capabilities to flag anomalies associated with the utilised attack vectors. Singtel has stated that they have suspended all uses of the system and has initiated an investigation.
