While foreign websites fear the tightening of Chinese cyberspace, China rejects worries

After yesterday's publication of the draft law by the Chinese government that would set tighter controls on the Internet, foreign websites fear they will no longer be able to access to Chinese cyberspace. If the rule applies to all websites -and not only Chinese ones -foreign websites will have to register with Chinese domain name registrars. The government of China told Reuters that the new rules 'do not involve websites that are accessed overseas, do not affect users from accessing the related Internet content and do not affect the normal development of business for overseas companies in China.'
