Australia more vulnerable to Cyber Attacks in Asia

A new study, 'The Cisco 2018 Asia Pacific Security Capabilities Benchmark Study' which compares 11 countries and their cybersecurity capabilities revealed that each minute, around 6 threats are received by companies in the APAC region, 50% of which are investigated. The study further revealed that Australia faces more cyberattacks than the other nations studied with reports of up to 5 000 threats a day. 51% of cyberattacks in Southeast Asia resulted in a loss of more than USD$1 million .
