Drone ID systems could catalyse IoT security

Industry efforts are underway for the development of aDrone ID system that would help secure drone, while potentially contributing to catalyse the overall Internet of Things (IoT) security. The system uses Secure Socket Layer/Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS) certificates, to help validate the authenticity of certain information regarding the drone (including its ownership). Developers of the system argue that 'With respect to IoT devices in general there is a need to know which organization is looking after a device and ensuring that they are following security practices that work.'
