Facebook revealed the winners of the competition for a software programme that can detect deepfakes. The initiative was an open competition to find a software that can find AI-manipulated videos. The competition attracted over 2000 participants. The winner achieved an average precision of 65.18 percent. The result shows that deepfake detection is still an unsolved problem. The winning software from this challenge will be released as open-source to help other researchers to improve it.
