I regularly test AirTag wallets at and have used several on the market. The Ridge Wallet has some notoriety in the AirTag wallet space thanks to its sleek design, durable construction, and multiple design options. I have gifted the Ridge wallet, used one myself, and recommended it numerous times. 

But it's pretty expensive -- especially if you're looking for the AirTag-equipped configuration, which will cost you an extra$25 on top of the$95-$150 wallet itself.

After using the Titan X wallet for several weeks, I'm impressed; it's even more valuable than purchasing an option like the Ridge wallet, especially if you already have an AirTag. 

This wallet is the same size as my standard leather card holder. It features a dedicated money pocket, several card slots, and a handy lever that makes dispensing and finding the card you need easy. It's a great size and quality, looks expensive, and comes in an elevated packaging, which is great for potential gifting.

It also features RFID data protection, stores up to 10 cards (six in the main body and four in additional pockets), and already has a dedicated spot for an AirTag on the back.

No matter which version you select, you'll find it a functional investment. 

How it compares to Ridge 

The two most significant differences between theRidge and the Titan X Trifold wallets are the overall design. While both are expandable wallets, the Ridge can store up to 12 cards to the Titan X's 10-card design.

The Ridge is also an utterly sleek metal and finish construction with no internal pockets for storage. You simply slide your cards between the plates and push them out when necessary. Should you want to add an AirTag, you'd need to use a cash strap or clip on theoutsideof the wallet.

The Titan X wallet is constructed of leather and aluminum and still features a traditional trifold design. There isinternalcash storage and traditional internal "pockets," which I found helpful and more secure for my ID and money, and the AirTag holder is planted on the back. 

The Titan X wallet also stores up to six cards in the expandable section, thanks to a trigger mechanism, which I find so much easier to use than the Ridge's notch at the bottom.

's buying advice

It is not beyond me that in these unsteady economic times,$80 for theTitan X (or$65 at the time of writing) is still a large chunk for a wallet. I hear you. However, considering the material composition, it's in the same ballpark as other higher-quality wallets and cardholders made of leather or mixed metals. 

To put this in perspective, my everyday leather cardholder (pictured in this article) is made in Spain of 100% calf leather and costs me$115. It doesn't have any of the features the Titan X has. Plus, a wallet is undoubtedly a long-term investment and something you use daily.

If you're interested in purchasing an AirTag wallet for the first time, especially if you already have an AirTag on hand, the Titan X is a great option. However, keep in mind that there are other alternatives available to you. If you're happy with your current wallet and want to add Bluetooth tracking, you can try a few things. Bluetooth cards like the Chipolo Card Point, Nomad Wallet Tracker, KeySmart SmartCard, and the SwitchBot Wallet Tracker can easily slip into your wallet to add Bluetooth tracking for under$50.
