In an attempt to protect children online from exploitation, Microsoft has released a new tool code named 'Project Artemis' that can scan online chats to identify patterns of attempts to exploit children online. By scanning historical chat data, the tool attempts to assign probability ratings to conversations and helps identify people who may be grooming children for sexual abuse online.
