Nigeria's Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy has issued an updated policy on SIM card registration. The policy reiterates government plans to link all SIM cards to the national identity number (NIN). It contains guidelines on SIM card acquisition and activation for both individuals as well as corporations. It also gives guidance on SIM replacement, registration of foreigners and accreditation of dealers and agents.
