In order to combat election fraud, prominent Nigerians have expressed support for the introduction of an e-voting system. In addition to fraudulent behaviour, the system is expected to be robust and transparent enough to enhance the transparency of elections across the country. The system is also expected to improve voter turnout which at the moment stands at 17%.
