After many American voters with disabilities faced barriers to voting in their precincts, the US Congress introduced the Voters with Disabilities Bill of Rights to address those barriers and compensate for the challenges voters faced. The bill would require that polling precincts expand accommodations and provide alternative ways for persons with disabilities to cast their ballots.
