Walmart has been using blockchain based solutions for food supply chains since 2017. The company announced apilot projectfor blockchain tracked supply chains for its seafood producers. The project will start tracking shrimps imported from India to the USA.It is a collaboration with IBM's Food Trust programmeusing blockchain to increase global food traceability. The pilot project will start with a small group of farmers in Andhra Pradesh, India. Blockchain tracking will help maintain food safety standards throughout its journey from the Indian Ocean to the USA
